Not a bad idea, Da Beef! Wrigley unfortunately doesn't allow cans inside, but I suppose you could either finish eating and drinking on the way to the park or simply transfer the soda/pop of your choice into a small-ish plastic bottle and bring it all in. Sounds like an improvement on my Taco Bell "brown" bags into games!

I was referring to the empanada's. I know the Portillo's Park* rules, you are allowed to bring peanuts and other such good's into the stadium...pop, liquor and beer in particular are a...no,no.

I hadn't kept up with naming-rights news lately, but they have let me bring in pop that they sell in paper and plastic cups from McDonald's, Taco Bell, and 7-Eleven in the past. Watermelon does seem like an interesting flavor to try, though.

Was trapped in a no mans food zone for longer than expected, only choice for lunch were KFC, Dunkin Donuts or 31 Flavors. I was going to pass on lunch, but did not have breakfast and was not going to get the chance to eat until much later Opted for KFC. Reason its in this thread is the under $5 lunch seems a good deal, choice of leg/thigh or breast/wing I asked for and received with no problem, two extra crispy thighs, side, biscuit and soda.

I'm a once a year fan of KFC extra crispy, love chicken thighs, should have been a good, if not very healthy lunch. Skin was crisp as a could be, a little salty, but not over the top, unfortunately lurking beneath the glass rod crunch was a slick of oil that would embarrass BP. Chicken had large untrimmed pockets of fat and bird flesh was flavorless mush. I ate one crispy thigh, just could not handle the grease, and left the other, biscuit was ok, fast food biscuit king is still Popeye's, and the slaw was actually tasty.

Who doesn't love a little Harold's hot-sauce-on action? But, seriously... if the grease isn't workin' for ya at KFC, perhaps a stab at the Kentucky Grilled Chicken might be of some value. I've enjoyed that seasoned variation quite a bit, but it does always help to get 'em hot 'n' fresh. Happy hunting on your next food-desert expedition, Gary!
