For 10 of us. The easiest would be to go to a lunch buffet, but not possible.
I plan on mostly vegetarian, with one or two meat/chicken thrown in.
I would like to pre-order family style with a set price, north side or north suburbs.
I was hoping someone might know of an establishment where the owner would work with me. Thank you very much in advance for any guidance.
    Thank you,
    Jill

    Hi Jill -
No specific place for you, sorry.
My assumption is that MOST places would love to do this, and work with you, especially if you choose a slower night of the week. Even if you do choose a typically busier night, most places would be behooved to work with you in pre-planning so as not to tax the kitchen all at once - they can have things prepped for you - easy peasy.

I'd start with your favorite place - a quick call during the day at an off time. Ask to speak with a manager about planning a dinner party and take it from there. I'd be very surprised if they are not very welcoming to your request.

( I LUUUUURVE to do these types of dinners at "hole in the wall" types of joints. Most of them will bend over backwards for you - especially on a slow night.)
We cannot be friends if you do not know the difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip.

I am no expert on Indian cuisine, but enjoyed my recent meal at Chiya Chai in Logan Square. Their website mentions they do a fixed price for parties of at least ten and they have a decent amount of vegetarian offerings.

Feel like Tiffin on Devon would be a good choice based on your requirements.

I agree with this. Big place, been in business a long time, used to groups, used to non-Indian customers, food is good. It will not be the cheapest place, however.

Tava's pretty good and has actual parking (which is a huge plus over Devon). Food is very good (occasionally a little sweeter than it should be).
