A few years ago, I was in South Africa doing some photography work and I absolutely fell in love with an African/Portuguese dish called Chicken Piri-Piri (aka peri-peri/pili-pili/peli-peli). Once I discovered it, I don't think a day went by without me eating it. Basically, it was a grilled chicken about the size of a cornish hen, perhaps a little bigger, marinaded in a hot-pepper, citrus, and some other herbs and spices, split in half (but not all the way through...kind of like a butterflied whole chicken, if that makes any sense), served with a special piri-piri sauce (every restaurant seemed to have its own blend.)

Now, I've found a couple of recipes on the web, but I haven't really been able to satisfactorily duplicate the taste. Which leads me to my question. Are there any places in Chicago that serve this?
