Not my bag, but Glenn's has high quality fish (and crabs), so the deal isn't outrageous, particularly given what seems to be a legion of regulars who really sock away the crab there. Chitown B can get out for under $70 bucks if he sticks to Coco Puffs and water while the expectant one hits the crabs.

lol :) I've been, and it's always good - but it's been around $35/person before. $52 is pretty steep.

I don't recall it being close to $35 since well before Glenn got the boot.

King crab prices have been up and down, in the market as well as at restaurants. A few years ago frozen ones sold at Costco and Sam's Club for $10-12/lb; now they are $20. Restaurants are now typically charging $45 (Beelow's) to $60 (Parker's) for an entrée of 1.0-1.25 pounds of king crab legs. By that measure, $52 for AYCE is a bargain. (I called Glenn's maybe six months ago and IIRC they were $56 then.)

yeah, I hadn't been there since Glenn quit. I was worried it would have gone down in quality since his partner seemed to do nothing other than have money. But it was very good, still.

Speaking of Glenn being gone, I remember reading somewhere that Glenn was going to open up a new place. Did that happen? Anyone know what it is?

Fahlstrom's Fresh Fish Market is going into the space at 1258 W. Belmont (was La Gondola most recently and Joey's Brickhouse before that). Looks like it's getting close -- I drove by a couple of nights ago and there's a fancy neon sign up, though the windows are still papered over.

I haven't been since, frankly, I was never a Glenn's fan, but kind of hard to say "not promising" based on a review from 9 months ago. Yelp reviews have been decent (as those things go--some hate, some love, most say good and worth returning). I'm not questioning Sula's critique at all but I also wouldn't write them off because of it, given that others seem to like it.
