Anyone know where I could buy a case of those ubiquitous little 2-pak breadsticks that are always in the restaurant breadbasket? Want to buy for a friend's birthday (he always shoves them in his pockets & asks for more)
I see them online but I don't really want to pay shipping almost as much as the item & it's getting close to his b-day & I'd like to have them in my hands asap.
Nothing fancy - no Alessi or Grissini or Stella Doro. Maybe there's a bakery outlet somewhere in/around Chicago?

    Thanks.

Guessing Restaurant Depot might have these.

Thanks, but their website says they are wholesale only and you need to show a valid reseller's permit (business license) or tax-exempt certificate.

    I have neither.

Maybe a restaurant will sell you some? Might L'Appetito or Eataly have these for sale?
