Menu planning is upon us! What will be new on your table this year? We've got Butcher& Larder turkeys (one stuffed and roasted, the other smoked on the big green egg), homemade pickles of various sorts for the relish tray, savory corn pudding, but still thinking on dessert concepts, salad options, and any other creative irresistibles.

My son is brewing a cider using a ginger-beer plant... apparently the champagne version takes too long. Who knew?

I just found out that my oldest will be in town for Thanksgiving, so I'm scrambling for some vegetarian alternatives. I love kobacha squash, so maybe a small one stuffed with some Field Roast sausage, kale, and pine nuts.

Other than that, I'm doing our basic Thanksgiving menu (starring a dry-brined "Judy bird"-roasted HoKa turkey).

Looking forward to hearing what other folks are coming up with!
