Though mentioned quite a few times over the years there does not seem to be a dedicated Nottoli on Harlem thread, only Original Nottoli and Son on Belmont

I've become a Nottoli semi regular, dental visits put me in proximity, love of good food keep me coming back. I dig the old school atmosphere, subs, giardiniera, fresh and dried sausage, Italian beef combos and the bride likes the cannoli and ready to heat & eat eggplant parm and lasagna.

I've posted a few times about Nottoli on Harlem in the past, including ---> link.

This morning at Nottoli I learned a valuable life lesson, Italian grandmothers do not like paying .7c for a plastic bag. :)

Dry goods, sandwiches, Italian deli meats, cheese, prepared food, large parking lot and friendly old school service.

    Nottoli, Count me a Fan!

Not just Italian grandmothers. I've seen many young people walking out of almost every grocery store with their arms overloaded with stuff that's threatening to escape their grasp at any moment. I get the real desire is to reduce plastic bags, but really people. I carry bags with me, sometimes I just need to pop into a store a second and then buy a couple more things than I intended. You just paid $30-40 bucks or more on groceries. It's a freakin $0.07 already, buy a bag!

Just finished a meatball sandwich for lunch, had purchased the meatballs and loaf of Damato's bread on Sunday morning from Nottoli on Harlem. Damn was this tasty!!
I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.

Nottoli is a regular stop, both the bride and I, sometimes together, often separately. Today, cannoli and ready to heat & eat eggplant parm for her, 12" turkey sub with giardiniera for me. I love turkey subs, even more than Italian deli subs, YMMV :)

Bride gets her hair cut near Nottoli, she typically stops to pick up a thing or four. Included in today's roundup, lightly dipped Italian Beef w/giardiniera.

I stupidly told her I did not want a sandwich, even my typical turkey sub. Boy did I feel like an idiot when she unwrapped that beauty of a beef. She kindly shared. Was fantastic.

You would think that by now she would know and get you a sandwich regardless of what you say you want.

Agree, but I was really adamant as we stocked up on deli meat and bread yesterday. I figured I would make my own sandwich for lunch, which I did. I still happily wolfed down half of her Italian Beef.

I also have a pot of chicken soup simmering, which will yield . . . wait for it, chicken. :)

In the area yesterday so stopped for Italian sausage in bulk, two Italian Subs to go, one 12"with hot and one 12" regular.
Had for dinner last night we all agreed the hot is the way to go.
Great Sub, just right bread, packed with layers of cheese and meat, not over seasoned.
A take out delight for us in these times.
Purchased cheese/spinach and meat Arancini for this evening along with Braciola.
Nottoli is a great old school Italian Deli!!!

firmly in the lunch rotation and given the way prices have been going lately, a relative steal imo

    Well excuse me!
The Nottoli location I went to is on Belmont and is an altogether different entity!!!
I stopped again yesterday for an Italian Sub Party Tray, Arancini, Marinara sauce and Braciole.
    All the eaters said superb!!!!
So what is the relationship between the two Nottoli's if any?

BTW the Italian Detective, Montalbano loves Arancini.
You can read the books or watch the series on MgHz
