Cursed! I have friends who just bought. This would have been perfect for them.

Are you staying in the area?

    Hope you are well!

Still thinking about going "country" and becoming a berry farmer? I've listed my farmette and business with Century 21 http://www.century21.com/real-estate-agent/profile/dennis-maakestad-P10135220

You still have the option to transition to a fantastic rural lifestyle. Get back to nature, de-stress and enjoy life. This location is one of a kind. The farmette is located on one of the highest elevations in DeKalb County. Beautiful 360 degree views! This sale includes $20,000 in equipment, a fully developed berry business with web site and facebook marketing and a built in customer base. I have written a complete guide to the berry business, with seasonal schedules, contact lists and suppliers. I will be available for free consultation. I want to see you succeed! With an Ag related business on the property the taxes are incredibly low ($4,000) for a property of this caliber. It's a short hop onto I 90 when you get a city "craving". This is no ordinary piece of Illinois flatland!

    Price Reduced....AGAIN!

I have about 1 and 1/2 acres invested in the berry business. There is at least2-3 acres available for further development...some of it with drip irrigation already in place! The opportunities are unlimited. You could put in a vineyard and start your own winery. Grow vegetables for your own farm stand or for farmers markets. There is a finished retail space...start your own store! Put in food sales. Keep horses! Use it as a wedding venue. Start a BBQ university! Raise your own livestock, beef, chicken (eggs), goats (make cheese)...you name it! Take a drive out to the country this weekend ... you won't be disappointed. Build your fortress, feather your nest or create your dynasty. The future is YOURS!

The stock market is taking a dive. Invest your money in income producing property! Interest rates are historically low. What are you waiting for? If it helps, the value of the business can be written as a separate sale when you purchase the property and home.

I posted this on Facebook. With all the organizations I belong to, at least a few hundred people will see it. Hope it helps.

Hello LTH friends. The farmette is still up for sale. If you are interested in the You Pick Berry business, now is the time to think about making the move. Otherwise the five acre property can be re-purposed to your own vision. Taxes are less than $5,000. That might sound pretty good to some of you! :D The realtor is the same (for now). If you know someone who really thinks they can move this property have them PM me. My realtor contract expires in a couple months.
