Hi all,
so i am new to LTHForum,, and although not a chef [yet I start school in the fall] I have been a "cook" and culinary tourist for 30 something years!

So being a Culinary Tourist and major foodie i have watching trends come and go over some period of time now. At present there is one i find somewhat concerning and that is the raise of the chains and wondered if things progress they way they are in say a decade or so will there be any choice of unique places exist to go and eat/drink/shop etc. It seems to me [and supporting evidence -contact me if u wish to see it] that unless we do something to support the individual businesses to thrive and survive we will have nothing but standardized burger/coffee/pizza chains and that would be so so sad!

Sooooooo I came across this campaign to help the individual to survive and was hoping you guys could spread the word so to speak,blog it, discuss it,, send it on, after all isnt that what we are learning any form of culinary art for,,,,, to be unique and leave our mark? anyway,,, I shall leave you this and would love it if anyone wishes to say hi! Its been a long time since I went to University!! thanx
