Knopf Doubleday has a series of video tributes by various luminaries of the food world, including Thomas Keller and Rose Levy Berenbaum, celebrating what would have been Julia's 100th birthday.

Enjoy!

PBS has been doing a series of remixes, and the newest one celebrates Julia Child's 100th birthday with great spirit.

Bon appetit!

There is also an article/tribute--absolutely lovely...warm, affectionate--by Jacques Pepin in today's NYT.

as stated in another post, she and my mother became good friends due to a special order grocer who knew both and introduced them "because they were the only women who dove him crazy with the orders". Her husband and my father hit it off because of their backgrounds, and all I really remember as a small child is this very tall woman who came over often and she and my mother hit the kitchen together and several bottles of wine being gone through. Until Dad died three years ago I remember his (and when she was alive my mother) joking about the WGBH origional shows and re-runs and the amount of "cooking sherry" and how it was split between her/food. She was a very patient woman as once she tried to teach me how to do some cookies. You try and teach a toddler cooking. :)
That era must have been awesome in retrospect due to all of the talent in Cambridge. Joyce Chen I also remember for having a TV show, and a local eatery that we all visited.

That article was posted early from the Wednesday NY Times, whose weekly food section today is devoted to Julia Child, including a number of articles.
