2008 GNR Awards Dinner - 11/3 - Sun Wah BBQ - 6 pm

Hi all,

Please join us in honoring this year's GNR Award recipients at a dinner at 6 pm on Monday November 3 at Sun Wah BBQ:

Prospective Menu:

Appetizers:
Laura Biting Mike (mini bbq pork sandwiches in buns -- Cheng family recipe)
Century Egg w/Ginger
Golden Marinated Soybeans

Dinner:
Roast Baby Pig
Citrus-Fried Chicken
Garlic Ribs
Vegetable (tbd)
Rainbow BBQ Combination (likely to include: brisket, pork, duck, chicken, jellyfish, cuttlefish & hamhocks)
Crispy Noodles with Duck and Pork
Pan-Fried Shrimp
Won Ton Soup
Pork Belly with Squash

Seating is limited because spots will be reserved for this year's GNR recipients and their nominators. The remaining seats -- the quantity of which we are still not completely sure -- will be available for LTHForum.com members on a first come, first serve basis. Due to limited availability, each LTHForum.com member may purchase only 1 or 2 seats. The cost is $45 per person, all inclusive (plus a $1.12 service fee charged by EventBrite.com). This price includes the multi-course meal, beverages (beer for those 21 and over, and soft drinks), tax and tip. Each attendee will also receive an official GNR Picture Poster, as well as the newly-updated 2008 GNR Pocket Guide.

If you'd like to attend the dinner, please post below with the number of people in your party (1 or 2). As seats become available, we'll send PM's containing detailed sign-up information and instructions to those who have signed up here -- in the order in which they have posted on this thread. Your reservations will be confirmed once you pay for your tickets at EventBrite.com, using the link that will be sent to you via PM.

If you have nominated a restaurant and want to attend the dinner, please post here indicating so. We will send PMs to all members whose nominations are successful to confirm arrangements (whether you post here or not). Those members will not be counted in the queue we compile here, even if their names remain in it. Those whose nominations end up not being successful can procure seats through this thread, with the rest of the members who sign up here, in the order in which they've posted.
