Ask and ye shall receive - I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but here she is with the pork dish.

Overall, it was a great time - the friendly service is almost as much reason to visit TTOWA as are the dumplings. Thanks to Gary (the professorial one, not the BBQ one) for organizing this. I'm looking forward to another professorially-arranged lunch next month at Le Conakry.

I'm starting to crave the red-bean fried-dessert buns even now...

Lovely to see everyone, can't wait until next time! Sorry, I won't be able to offer anyone a ride :D .

Ttowa is an odd place. It's sort of like if you were eating at Shui Wah and somebody arrived with some takeout from Orange Garden-- we'd be eating something funkily authentic, and then the next thing would be like sweet and sour chicken or something. Yet even that stuff was awfully well done, fresh out of the kitchen, so it was a very nice meal and the service really was wonderful, Seoul by way of Boca. I'm glad I went!

They were! I've had TTOWA's kimchee fried rice before, but never the fried chicken as it only comes in large size portions for aprox $15. This does not make sense for two people, especially at lunch, if the lure of dumplings is strong.

Food was terrific, service efficient and charming, and price for our feast quite reasonable.

The Evanston Lunch Group is a lot of fun, I may just have to make a habit of attending.

    Enjoy,
    Gary
