Hi- This is too far for me, but there is a slow foods dinner this Wednesday at 6:00PM in the Campton Hills area. I thought there might be a few people here that live out that way, that might be interested. Here is the link.

Hope this helps, Nancy

Thanks for this information NFriday! This is practically in my backyard. I won't be able to attend but there is some good information for future use. Just a few miles from this location is Heritage Prairie Farms that features local grown products and produce. Our favorite is honey from Bron's Bees which is local organic raw honey. Heritage Prairie is open all year and throughout the winter they maintain their market in one of the greenhouses.

Well, you might want to mark your calendar for July 29. Slow Food Chicago and Slow Food City's Edge are having a picnic at Garfield Farm in LaFox. Details will be forthcoming.

I think you can see Garfield Road (the farm is up the road a bit) from Heritage Prairie Farm! Nice to know but I am not very mobile anymore and I know from previous visits to Garfield Farm when I was still walking, it's kind of rough terrain for me now.
