Windy City Rib Classic – Old School BBQ Contest

Jared Leonard and myself, Gary Wiviott, are holding an Old School ‘Even Playing Field” BBQ contest, no gas, no computers, no fans, no electric, a true Pitmaster competition.

20-BBQ Teams, Bands, Demos and judges picked for BBQ knowledge instead of Q-Rating, held on the veranda of Theater on the Lake, BBQ with a lake view.

WCRC supplies the meat, Wichita Packing ribs and Kingdom Farms Amish chicken, no bringing in Tokyo X, even playing field my friend.

Attendance is free, you will be able to interact with the cooking teams, though I suggest keeping a distance just before turn-in, and there will be food and beer available for purchase. WCRC is not a vending event.

Our intention is to make WCRC a yearly event, start small, well not that small, and grow from there.
