Yom Kippur's around the corner and I intend to atone for all of my LTH-related sins from the past year. 8) Since I'l have a clear conscience, I'll start off the year with a timely posting of our next gathering.

Isaac & Moishe Deli is the place. Where else can you get a corned beef sandwich and a brisket taco at the same spot? LTH intel has informed me that on Wednesday they have $.99 ground beef and barbacoa brisket tacos. You can balance out your tacos with a healthy drink from their juice bar.

Please join us on the 15th and explore the menu with us. As always, bring a friend.

    HI,

Mean Wiener down the the street has $1.25 tacos on Wednesday. What they assortment they offer, I don't know. Isaac and Moishe countered with their Wednesday at 99 cents or a dollar, though it is only their ground beef and brisket. Their sign says something like, "Why be mean when you can be happy!"

Those brisket and ground beef tacos are pretty good, so it works for me.

I plan to be there. I might bring my Mom.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

    Hi Folks,

Group seating in the middle of the place consists of several large-ish four top tables. Whoever happens to get there first, please commandeer a couple of tables and push them together.

You order at the counter. They'll bring your food and drinks to the table.

    See you soon.

As always, thanks for setting this up Dave148. Excellent food, great company -- definitely worth the effort to get there. (But for others who may want to try this place, be advised that Highwood has a wacky numbering system and Mapquest shows this in the wrong block.)

I bought a couple of things to bring home for snack and dinner. Haven't had the tamale yet (that will be dinner), but the grilled bulb onions were great.

    Thanks again.

Good eats and great company - the LTHNLG motto. Today's lunch probably was the least expensive ever in LTHNLG history. My first ever brisket taco and it definitely won't be the last.

I'm on a hot streak and next month's destination has already been selected. Please stay tuned for further details.

Sorry I had to eat and run, great company and great stuff there and I too will be back. The barbacoa de chivo was really nice, as good but different to the brisket. The tamale with rajas and queso was less wonderful: maybe a little hotter so the cheese was melt.

The squeeze bottles of red and green salsa were outstanding, but the table salsa served with the chips was bland and tasting of tomato paste.
