I had a bit of free time at work while I was encoding videos for our company website, so after relieving my boredom on Friday by making a donkey kong shelf for my mini-dv tapes - I made a Google Map of this fall's GNR Nominations.

I thought it would be helpful for people looking to try out a restaurant (or resource) before the discussions are closed. If there's anything I've marked incorrectly, let me know. Each location has a separate entry.

Thanks, for the great map, Llama. I sure could have use it this past Saturday, when I visited 6 current nominees with my family. Maybe next weekend . . . 8)

    Looks great, Llama.

Note that Google seems to choke on Hoosier Mama's address, placing it at Chicago & State instead of Chicago & Ashland. I noticed this when they first opened the store, and it appears it hasn't been corrected yet. A quick though not technically correct workaround would be to enter 1618, which would at least provide spatial accuracy. Food for thought if/when it gets the GNR and goes up on the official map.

I updated it. You can drag & drop the locations, which works fine, but if you're typing it out, leaving off the "west" for the street works too.

I figured that it was the least I could do, since I was dragging my feet and forgot to post my nomination in time. Probably for the best, though - I'll work on that "track record"!

Nice resource...and nice to see that the GNR nominations are so geographically spread out this time.

If you take germuska's current GNR map and click "save to my maps" and then do the same for the nomination map, you can view them both at the same time. (I only just discovered this)

Perhaps I'll recolour the nomination markers.
