I've read the FAQ.
I have my photos on Flickr.
I think I do as instructed.
I don't get photos in my posts.

To wit: copy the url from my individual photo in Flickr; paste it into my post; highlight the url in the post, then click on Img button.
Nada.
Have also tried the same routine in differently ordered steps: Click on "Img", then paste the URL of the Flickr photo between the 2 Img brackets in the post.
Still nothing.
Tried a 3rd variation, which somehow got me a live link in the post back to Flickr, but not an image in the post.

Can anyone tell me where I've gone wrong?

Can you please post the ill-fated image here -- or at least try to -- so we mods can take a look?

Off the top of my head, the first question that comes to mind is whether the linked image is a .jpg file. This is the only format that will work here and the file to which you link for display must end with the .jpg extension.

I'm not really familiar with flickr but I know there are some nuances there that might be the issue.

One possibly helpful threads can be found here:

Thanks,

Find the shot on Flickr and locate the "share" button. Click the BBCode button & choose a size (at or under 800 pixels wide please!) and select and copy all the text in the box. Come here and paste that in the thread.

Yes, like this, but also to Mrbarolo do NOT click the Img button here at Lthforum. All you need is included in that BBCode that Flickr generated - just paste that whole string wherever it is you want the photo to appear.

At the risk of dumbing down the conversation...it might help others to spell it out in even more detail.

When you click on the Share link on a Flickr image, a box pops up that says the following:

Quote:
Grab the link
Here's a link to this photo. Just copy and paste!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/cubagallery/6290619091/

Below that, it says
Quote:
Grab the HTML/BBCode
Copy and paste the code below:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/cubagallery/6290619091/" title="Grass Food by â–ºCubaGallery, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6218/6290619091_5b2f86faf4.jpg" width="500" height="500" alt="Grass Food"></a>

Neither of those will work. But if you click BBCode, it'll produce some more code. Copy & paste that into LTH & you'll get:
