I was talking to a friend recently about foraging for mushrooms. This is something I've wanted to do for years but have been hesitant due to stories like this : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hamp ... 621133.stm

One of the best things I ever ate was a plate of mushrooms sauteed over an open fire while camping with friends, they picked them and had done so for many years; that's an experience I'd love to recreate but I'm the risks are unacceptable at my current level of knowledge.

C2 recommended this book to me - seems to make shrooming pretty safe.
