Patty Burger is offering a "burger trade-in" next Wednesday, May 28th. From 11 am - 3 pm customers can bring in a burger from any other place and trade it in for a Patty Burger single w/ cheese, a regular size fry and a regular soda. May 28th is National Hamburger Day. They feel like they've built a better burger and are willing to put it to the test! The restaurant is at 72 E. Adams St.

This is a brilliant marketing idea. In order to eat one of our free burgers, you must first go spend your money at one of our competitors. Genius!

A fabulous new feature of the upgrade I'd meant to thank germuska for is the little exclamation point button at the bottom of posts - if you think something might be amiss, just click the button and a moderator will be notified automatically - no conjecture necessary.

Eh, how much is a single White castle going for nowadays? Buy a case with some friends, head over and eat cheap.

Hi,

They posted on the Professional Board, whose purpose is, "If you're a pro and want to talk about your business, post here." While it wasn't 100% full disclosure, it was fairly transparent with the screen name Burger1 pretty much reinforcing. I have a hard time suggesting this is a shill simply by the board Burger1 chose to use.

The moderators prefer receiving a note of suspected shill, which we can check into. I know of several situations where shill assumptions were simply wrong.

If anyone does go to the trade-in, then please report back.

Regards,

Cathy,

Unless I have gone completely crazy, I saw this post first in the Eating Out... forum. I suspect it was a Moderator who moved it here.

Not crazy: that's where I first saw it too. :)

It was before noon when I saw this post, and I was still sober then :) I'm pretty certain this started in the Eating Out forum.

I've been tripping balls since this morning and am still unconvinced extra-dimensional DMT elves or their telepathine mounts moderate LTH.

HI,

I checked again, it was moved at 11:51 AM. BTW - I never used the word 'crazy.' :)

Again when there is a suspected shill, we want people to PM a moderator rather than do DIY justice.

Have a good holiday weekend!

Regards,

Oh please, oh please, oh please make this the headline quote on the front page.

I'm still laughing.
