I also checked around for 12 oz cans and didn't spot any. Does it have special labeling?

Yes. In the past I've seen the CrC logo near the bottom of the can.

Here's what the cans looked like in 2007 . . .

Thanks! There might be a logo on the box too.

I will check when I am in a store.

Hi,

The display I saw had only two-liter bottles. However, I rarely buy cans for home and may have simply overlooked them.

Regards,

Well, they weren't there on Saturday, either and the comment from the person at the store about them possibly showing up closer to Passover seemed dubious. Generally speaking, a company will bring a Rabbi in only once to supervise a KfP run, because there are costs associated with having the Rabbi on premises. It seems to me that all the KfP production would have been done at one time but who knows? Perhaps cans and bottles are produced at separate facilities, which would require separate rabbinical visits and also might explain the difference in delivery dates.

=R=

The folks at the Highland Park Jewel told me that they will not be carrying the KfP cans of coke this year. But I called the CRC and they told me that they did supervise a run of cans. However, they did not know where the cans were available for purchase. Since this is my preferred vessel, I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone who sees them around town would be kind enough to post about it here.

Thanks,

=R=

I saw a hefty supply of KfP 2-liter bottles (alas, no cans) of Coke and Diet Coke at Sunset Foods on Rte 137 in Libertyville a day or two ago. If they're stocked up out in Libertyville, they've got to be stocked up at the Sunset in Highland Park.

I looked all over the bottle and couldn't see any indication (other than sucrose in the ingredient list) that it was KfP Coke rather than regular Coke. Not that I'd know what to look for.

Yellow/gold cap with the cRc triangle.

Oak Park area update.

The Jewel on Lake in River Forest still has a good supply of 2 liters.

The Jewel on Madison in Oak Park and The Dominicks on North in River Forest did not have any.

Did not see any 12 oz cans.

Can anybody tell me which target in the north chicagoland area sells pepsi natural? I've been to two but both did not carry it.

The Target I visited was on Route 83 north of 55. Hardly N Chicago.

When I was at the Dominicks on North Ave in River Forest they had the Pepsi Natural and a special price ($3.00/4 pack) and a special offer (buy 10 - 4 packs at $2.50 per). It was mentioned upthread that some grocery stores are now carrying it.

That's got to be a surprise to the Randhurst Jewel, who had it in stock last time I was in there.

Thanks for the tip on the yellow cap, PITD. That helped a lot. I saw 2-liter bottles of KfP Coke and Diet Coke at the Jewel on Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville this evening, and couldn't resist taking one home to try.

I loved it. I rarely drink carbonated drinks, but once in a while I crave a Coke, and I associate with it a harsh back-of-the-throat feeling that must be endured. The sucrose-sweetened Passover Coke seemed ... softer. Not so harsh.

I'm going back for as many bottles as I can carry before Passover passes.

HI,

At Jewel in Highland Park, they were selling 2-liter bottle of Kosher Coke for $1.50 each and Kosher Pepsi for $1.

Regards,

I saw the 2 liter bottles of Passover Coke 2 weeks ago at the Jewel in Buffalo Grove, but didn't notice the Pepsi.

Out here in Kane County, I haven't seen any K4P pop at all. The most any store has out here is an end cap with Kosher stuff, some of which is not even K4P. They just don't have a clue :-(

My smartalecky brother insists that I contemplate: are you trying to say it has a more "gentile" flavor?

Kosher for Passover Coke ($1.69/2 liter bottle) is at the Jewel on Howard in Evanston. Also KfP Pepsi, for those that roll that way.

Seen 2 liter bottles at the Jewel in River Forest today.

In the back 'seasonal' aisle.

Thanks for the info! I'll be hitting the Jewel on the way home.

Has anyone spotted KFP cans yet this year?

No. From everything I can tell (at least locally), the cans are a thing of the past. I never found any last year, either.

When I was Jewel yesterday the manager apologized that they would not have them this year.

The one place I've reliably found cans in the past has been Hungarian Kosher Foods in Skokie. Typically fairly pricey, though.

FWIW, there were also KfP bottles at Sunset Foods in Northbrook when I was in on Saturday.

The 2-liter KfP Coke is on sale at Jewel (at least the one on Howard in Evanston) for $1.00.

I just bought 8 2 liters from the Potash Brothers on 875 N. State for 1 dollar each! I'm excited for my first KfP Coke. I also have some mexican coke laying around and I'll have to get some HfC stuff as well to do a small cola tasting....

When I was at the Jewel in River Forest picking up a few 2 liters of Passover Coke I did a hard perusal for it in cans.

Nothing in sight.
