I think Calo's is really good. I would recommend it without hesitation. Atmosphere can be trying but its irrelevent since you are asking about delivery

I would also like to recommend CALO as well with this twist to make it feel more NY style:

1. Ask them to cut it into triangles.
2. Ask them to put the peperoni (or whatever topping) on the outside of the cheese. (chars them up nice and delicious)

Since I live in Ravenswood, between Andersonville & Lincoln Square, I recommend Apart, Calo's and Delisi's.

Delisi's is now closed.

Any updates for favorite delivery pizza in Andersonville?

Apart has been our go to for a while. Just ordered one Friday. It's not really typical of either Chicago or NY, very thin, nicely charred crust and not too bloody much cheese which is my complaint about most local pizza. A little reminiscent of Neapolitan style but not quite. Even Mrs. Trpt who is one of those rare people who generally doesn't like pizza will always go for one from Apart.

We ordered Calo last night. Fast delivery. Slightly above average quality for delivery pizza. The crust was pretty flavorless, but the sausage was nicely spiced.

We are still looking for a replacement for Delisi's when we want pan pizza. Tedino's, Pizzeria Aroma, Villa Palermo, and Carmen's have been disappointments. Apart is head and shoulders above the pack, but they don't offer pan pizza. Hoping someone chimes in here with a viable alternative--it's gonna be a long winter.

You didn't mention Malnati's. When I want pan or deep dish pizza (other than Burt's, which is usually my choice) Malnati's is my go to spot. They deliver in most areas. My default is the original in Lincolnwood because it happens to be closest. I'm not sure how other branches stack up, but I'm led to believe they are pretty consistent across the entire empire. I don't believe any of the branches are franchises; they are all company owned and run.

So far as I know, there is not a single Malnati's whose delivery zone includes Andersonville. I haven't checked recently, but that has long been the case.

This is my understanding as well. If Malnati's delivered to our 'hood, I probably wouldn't have even bothered with Delisi's in the first place.

Sorry to hear that. I hope Mr. Malnati is reading this. It's hard to believe an area as densely populated and affluent as Andersonville is not being served.

I actually checked yesterday. The hub of Andersonville is indeed a dead zone.

My personal top 4 that deliver to Andersonville:

Gigio's - NY Style goodness, just gotta get past the "abu ghraib interior". Get it with pepperoni + crushed red pepper put in the "Do The Right Thing" dvd.

Calo - Deep dish is made with love. (Giardenera + pepperoni will bring you great pleasure)

Pete's Pizza - Chicago Thin Crust (I get my home alone on and get plain cheese here. The sauce IS sweet like Holly said)

Gulliver's - Grease ball pan. Seriously, this place leaves my fingers shiny like pizza hut used to in the 80s. I've only had pan here, and probably will never try anything else. It's freaking deeelicious.

Worst Pizza:
Ranalli's. Good lord, so f'ing thin. It tastes like Pizza Lunchables. (not a good thing)

My wife and I are continuing our tour of Andersonville delivery options. Tonight we had BoJono's Pizzeria, which was excellent.

We had a 16" sausage and garlic. The crust is thin, tavern style, and considerably more flavorful than Calo's crust. The sausage had a nice spice. The garlic gave the whole pizza a nice zing.

Just gave this place a shot, ordered a large pepperoni and black olive, specified well done crust on the online ordering form. Pizza was pretty awesome, with nice crunch on the edges. Center pieces were a little softer than i like, but sometimes that happens with large pizzas. Thanks for the heads up.

My wife and I ordered a stuffed spinach from Carmen's Loyola location. Carmen's stuffed spinach (from the downtown Evanston location) was my favorite pizza growing up. The pizza doesn't quite do for me now what it used to, but I supposed that's the case for everything one's grown up with. (The restaurant is also under new ownership, I believe.) But this pizza was very good. I haven't had Art of Pizza in a while, which had been my benchmark for stuffed spinach.

Normally, my go-to is Apart Pizza seeing as how it's a block away and they have the delicious Francese Pizza (Ham, Brie, and Eggs), but they're temporarily out of eggs. Thanks to LTH, I instead went with Bojono Pizza. I ordered the BBQ chicken 12in pizza. The crust was crunchy and the chicken was well cooked. The sauce was a little too sweet and perhaps overwhelming, but this is still leaps and bounds above most Andersonville delivery pizza. This will be my choice if Apart isn't available from now on.

On tap last night: Villa May Pizza. We had a thin pizza with sausage and garlic that was good. The crust was slightly thicker than the norm for thin crust pizza; thicker than tavern style pizza. The crust was flavorful, though it didn't have much chew. The cheese was standard industrial mozzarella. The sausage was very good and had a nice spice. It would have been nice if the whole thing was bakes a little longer, but overall my wife and I thought it was a good pizza. It wouldn't be our first choice for a common delivery pizza in the area (that honor currently is held by Bojono's), but we would definitely order it again.

BUT...in my search of Grub Hub's latest delivery options to A-ville, Pizano's Pizza came up.

Yes. Pizano's. Cousin to Lou Malnati's and what I consider to be the best thin crust in town.

I was not in a pizza frame of mood last night but the next time I am --- BINGO.

I offer this as a public service annoucement to my fellow a-ville pizza lovers.

We had an Apart pizza recently also. They are definitely in the top tier of Andersonville pizza.

I hate to answer this question because there really is no excuse as to why I would have it delivered (I live steps away), but yes...I did.

I was initially drawn to Apart because they offered tuna as a pizza topping, which I fell in love with 20 years ago during a visit to Cedar Point in Ohio (please stop judging me). Darren, can I ask what you had? Because I tend to drift towards the funky, I'm not sure how Apart would fare with a traditional pepperoni.

My recollection is that we had the Diavola (pepperoni, sweet peppers, black olives) and a second one that we build ourselves with spinach, garlic, and probably something else. We had an expiring groupon so we ordered a lot and froze a lot of it. In fact, I just reheated a slice of the spinach for lunch yesterday. Both pizzas were really good.

Another point in their favor: I live closer to their Broadway location, so I called there without looking at the delivery zones first. The guy took my order. When he took my address, we realized that I was in the other location's delivery area. I was very appreciative that he just took the order and called the other store, and didn't have me do it. Good customer service.

That window of opportunity is now gone. Villa May has closed. A sign outside promises "Pollo Loco" along with tacos and burritos.
