I haven't seen note of this here--a piece by Calvin Trillin that appeared in Slate on Friday. I know Trillin has many fans here, including me, for his food writing as well as his everything-else writing. This is a funny piece (somewhat food and drink related) in which Trillin puts forward a new way of measuring pretentiousness: the ACI (*sshole Correlation Index).
