Cathy2 and I took one for the team yesterday at The Full Slab in Third Lake. It wasn't terrible, but despite the waitress's assertion that the food was hickory smoked for many hours, there was no discernible smoke flavor in either the St. Louis ribs or the pulled pork. The ribs weren't quite meat jelly, but they certainly fell right off the bone. Five of their six sauces were terribly sweet and the sixth, supposedly hot, wasn't too exciting either. Mac and cheese, described as "awesome" by the server, tasted like gloppy canned cheese sauce.

I concur. I used a Groupon and took my family of 6 there. They told me the same thing about how long they smoke the meat. But apparently it is at their Waukegan location. After trying the food I didn’t care to visit their Waukegan location. Oh, the service was poor.

I cannot recommend this place.
