I never knew former Ald. Levar tried to talk Culver's into considering a location there, interesting to learn all these years later! Anyway, I've read Culver's is supposed to open a location on Irving Park west of Cicero next to the former LaSalle Bank Theater, but I've heard no word when that'll open. Nor the proposed locations in Bronzeville, or the location in Wrigleyville on the west side of Clark Street where a Chase Bank branch once was.
Get ready, burger fanatics: Culver's is coming. The Wisconsin-based franchise known for its frozen custard and ButterBurgers is opening its first locations in Chicago, and one is planned for a plot of land near Midway International Airport .

Quite a few, actually. There's one on Mannheim just south of Touhy (what was originally Crispy Creme), one on Dempster in the SE corner of Mt Prospect, and another at the NE corner on NW Highway. Further out, I know there's one on Rand in Palatine just north of Dundee, and another just north of Rt 22. These have all been around for several years.

There have been several locations in DuPage County since the Bush administration.

There was a distinct charred flavor on the edges and I could see some lacy edges. It was a really good fast food burger. And yes, cheese curds and friendly service too. I was a happy guy.

No wonder the sandwich is good...
Kyle Cherek, the host of Wisconsin Foodie http://wisconsinfoodie.com/ is on a recent Culver's ad stating how good the cheese & the particular burger featured are at Culver's. Have to say, makes me want to go try it.BR wrote: Only upon biting into my burger did I realize Culver's smashes their burgers. They offer sauce with it and I thought one packet of horseradish made for a perfect pairing. I'm also amazed just how friendly the service is. I'm not sure if this is the case at each location, but they could teach most restaurants about good service.
