Bigger and Longer: New, Improved Maxwell Street Market Guide

The New, Improved Maxwell Street Market Guide is really- big and long.

I've pulled in a bunch o' comments from forum participants, recorded some of my own marginally focused ramblings, and thrown in pix (full color!), with the basic intention of providing neophyte Maxwell Street Market enthusiasts with guidance as to the food zones some of us really like a lot, including the vendors who sell Salvadoran pupusas, eyeball tacos, and Oaxacan tamales.

My goal is to make the guide even more big and long, so if you visit the Maxwell Street Market, please post about your experiences on LTH Forum so we can use your musings to make the next version of this Maxwell 101 document even more useful.

There are three versions of the guide, one on a web page and two designed for printing and taking to the market (the web version has some extra photos). Download the PDF version if you can, but if a 21MB download is too much for you or for some reason it doesn't work, download the 4MB Word version instead:

Holy Eye of Cow! Or Goat! What a work of art and science. I can't believe you're just giving this away. You need to get yourself a stand, or better yet a suitcase and a streetcorner, and start hawking this and the video in situ.

This is great info! I haven't been to Maxwell Street since sometime last year. You've just inspired me to check it out perhaps this weekend! Thanks for sharing! :)

Any updates on the Market? We will be visiting Chicago this summer & I would love to meander through the stalls! Any more info would be greatly appreciated.

This isn't an update, the PDF will be more up to date than the video, but here's a link to the free online version of David Hammond's and my Gorilla Gourmet: Maxwell Street Mexican video.
