I tried to find a spot for this but the moderators can put it where they wish.
Picked up a party tray of Classico sub sandwhiches Sunday morning for the Super Bowl.
Individual 2" pieces with a pretty toothpick sticking out to keep them whole.
Only day of the year Nottoli is open on Sunday is the Super Bowl.
Excellent selection of meats and cheese with Volpi Salami, Prosciutto Cotto, Hot Capicollo, Mortadella, Imported Provolone, hot or mild Giardiniera on the Classico.
Had the hot and mild Giardiniera put into containers for people to add their own.
The stronger taste of the imported Provolone really adds to the taste, I think.
You can if you wish purchase a loaf of the bread, order what you like and make your own but they do such great job.
Also picked up Braciole and Arancini spinach filled, the favorite of Inspector Montalbano. with a quart of Vodka sauce for another day.
They do have a Drive Up Window but the parking infront is not restricted, so most of the time you end up walking a half block or so due to the conjested parking. The window for pre orders is useful when they are busy as the line snakes around the small store interior.
Strictly old school store and shopping but the results are well worth the effort.
No surcharge for Debit cards.
They have many types of Italian Sausage and we have settled on the 'Hot' being the best for us. In truth the Extra Hot is not that hot and I believe they also have a version with ground fennel for those that don't like the seeds.
Ordered a small Italian beef to eat in my vehicle.
The beef was tender slices, strong Oregano flavor and surprisingly good heat with a quarter dip. That still did not stop me from being sloppy and I ate half until the drippage over whelmed me and I packed it back up.
In truth, one of the most flavorful Italian Beef's I have ever had.
