https://daejidoughco.com/Still in their soft opening, Daeji is a welcome addition to the Southport Corridor, especially with the recent departure of Southern France Patisserie.
Cool concept reminiscent of Del Sur Bakery that is drawing huge lines a couple miles north. Daeji has western style pastries with Korean influences. The offerings like the tteokbokki croissant and bulgogi mushroom focaccia are unique but well executed. The MSG is a cake made with misugaru that has coffee notes and a rich coconut topping. They sell out fairly quickly, hopefully as they ramp up they can serve the hungry masses that are taking notice. Been a couple times since they opened so already conquered the menu. Hopefully they offer some variety down the road, but a great start!
