Customer appeciation days are September 19-21. Tonight is 50% off for pizza and then tomorrow is 50% off pasta.
I was at Marie's on Saturday night and heard about the special, so I decided to go back last night with my uncle and some friends for the 50% deal. I've mentioned this before and at least one person couldn't understand it, but I like my Marie's crust paper thin. Sometimes they do it right, sometimes it's a little thicker. Saturday night, it was on the thick side and I wasn't thrilled about it. So last night I ordered my own large half chees/ half sausage extra thin, which the waitress said was no problem at all, and well done (I always do that). The pizza was pure Marie's perfection, was so much better than Saturday night, and everyone at the table was jealous that I ordered it that way. The oil from the whole milk cheese was nice and greasy on top and in the old days I would get napkins to blot it up, but I stopped doing that because just like the fat in Italian Beef juice, the oil is part of the flavor!
While it would be nice to not have to tweak the way they make the average pizza for me, I don't mind doing it if they don't mind making it. Extra thin from here on out is the only way I'm doing it at Marie's.
And after eating two Marie's pizzas in 3 days, I'd like to also add that I'm down 17 pounds since early August.
