Looks delicious. That sausage completely dwarfs the bun. Were there 10 sausages in the 3.33lb pack? And how did you cook the sausage?

And which Costco? I wonder if the Mettawa store carries these?

I think if I make these I'd use a Liborio Italian roll just to have a little more bread length, and a little more substance to soak up the juice. Or a bollilo if I couldn't get to the Liborio rolls.

Ten* Makowski Maxwell Street Polish to a pack, Costco on Touhy in Niles. I think all Chicagoland Costco carry them.

Yes, absolutely, the Polish dwarfs the bun. I actually had a few bolillo on the counter but went with a poppy seed hot dog bun as that is how Fixin' Franks serves them and I was going for "authenticity"

Super simple cook, saute pan with a little water to get the Polish started. When the water was gone the Polish finished cooking in its own lightly rendered fat. Crisped nicely, was deliciously juicy, snappy. I only did two, froze the rest. If I was doing a bunch I'd grill.

Makowski Maxwell Street Polish, count me a Fan!

I still maintain that a Polish without a qualifying term should default to sport peppers. However, that's not to say a Polish can't be good with giardiniera, it's good to have options, and this one looks like a winner.
