You have obviously been to Depot Nuevo a number of times, why don't you give us a little fill in on the Escalade Margarita and food. I'd love to know more than just that you agree.
I really wish I could elaborate, one main reason being that I agree with you that it would be more valuable than an "I agree" post. However, failing to be able to elaborate, I still thought it was worth seconding EvanstonFoodGuy's post, just to add critical mass to his opinion. (I.e., two people singing the praises of the Escalade Margarita might be even more persuasive than one.)
I've only been to Depot Nuevo twice, and the more recent of those times was when the weather was still warm enough to sit on the open porch. The margarita made a vivid impression on me for its freshness. If memory serves (and it might not, but I don't want to cheat and look at an online menu), one unusual ingredient was orange juice. Despite this departure from "classic," I remember thinking, "Now see, right there,
that's what a margarita oughta taste like."
