Several friends have told me that it recently closed. The Google also reports it permanently closed. No answer on the telephone.
For the most geographically convenient replacement, a casual semi-authentic (they have cemitas but no tripa or lengua, keeps me away) small family owned spot opened very late last year.Dave148 wrote:Several friends have told me that it recently closed. Especially when drinks are a part of the decision. I'm not a fan of La Principal or That Little Mexican Cafe, so the ten minute drive west is well worth it. Food definitely isn't as good as Libertad though.

I've not been to Los Comales but it is just slightly north of Arex Foods, a tidy well curated middle-eastern grocery. Same side of the street.

I'll have to check out both and see what I've been missing. Anyone ever eat at Detroit Kabob?

Detroit Kabob falls into the "okay" category. Nothing memorable, but not bad.

We've never eaten inside, we usually pick up or get delivery.

The only website menu I could find for it is on the Uber Eats website, here, and it looks pretty much like the menu for its previous incarnation.
