I have never tried Lo's carryout place but drive by frequently. IIRC we went to the sit-down restaurant twice. I doubt that Jazzfood is missing anything.

If Lo's is not to your liking, maybe try Dai Yee, they're in the cloud kitchen on Rockwell. You can pick up your own order if you prefer not to have delivery. I'm not entirely sure but I believe they had a standalone restaurant at one time. https://daiyeeskitchen.com/

They got me @ peanut butter in the egg rolls. Will give them a try. Do you like them more than Wah Sun?

A bit more from Block Club
Mark Chiang signed a lease to move into the former Gold Nugget Pancake House at 3234 W. Irving Park Road. The city approved his restaurant license June 23 — and new signs were to be hoisted onto the building Wednesday morning.

“We’re looking at moving in over there by the end of July,” Chiang said.
    ...
The restaurant will initially be BYOB because Chiang can’t apply for a liquor license until he’s operating out of the new location, he said.
    ...
Since taking over the business, House of Wah Sun’s menu has been focused on Americanized Chinese food. But once the restaurant relocates he plans to add Sichuan-style and Korean-Chinese fusion menu items based on dishes he eats at home, he said.

“I’m from South Korea and my chef, Chef Ping [Du], he’s from Sichuan. So we’re both going to bring original dishes to our customers that we’ve never really showed them before,” Chiang said.

Coming home from Trader Joe's this afternoon I noticed signs in the old location saying "We moved" plus more that I could not read from the car. Move is confirmed on their web site.

They opened last week. Went and grabbed some stuff for carryout and everything tasted the way I remember.

Now that it's a little closer to me, it'll be my go to Chinese take out. And I didn't realize they also served some Korean Chinese dishes as well.

House of Wah Sun is by far the best Chinese experience on the North Side. Im saying goodbye to the search for authentic Szechuan and saying Hello to fabulously done, instantly nostalgiac Americanized Chinese in an all-American, absurdly charming casual diner atmosphere.

We had the hot sour soup, egg rolls, cumin lamb, fried dumplings, Mongolian beef, string beans. All were spot-on, save the string beans which were too watery for my taste. This is really a blast from the past. If it was open til 2AM it would be a huge hit. As it is, we had to wait 15 mins for a table and prospects are very good.

    Go!

Had a very nice meal here recently that didn't quite match the magic I remember experiencing in the former space. That said, appetizers -- bbq pork, egg rolls, potstickers & crab rangoon -- were all terrific. Main courses -- combo fried rice, combo chow fun, mongolian beef, general tao's chicken, shrimp in lobster style sauce & combo egg foo young -- didn't pop in quite the same way the appetizers did. Consensus favorite of the mains was the egg foo young. This is one of the better versions I can remember having anywhere. Fried rice was a wee bit gummy but tasted great. There was no obvious agreement between the four of us on any of the other dishes, so take that fwiw.

Service was great, friendly and everything one could possibly want. Our friends had never been and they were happy. The new digs (former Golden Nugget space) are a bit dingy compared to the old space but that's no big deal (and will hopefully evolve over time). Love the small parking lot on the east side of the building. That's a nice bonus, though there was plenty of metered parking available on Irving Park and Sawyer, too.
