Mothers Day Brunch

Any thoughts on someplace for Brunch, doesn't have to be buffet, that's different in the NW suburbs? I've already searched open table, metro mix etc and all I can come up with is Le Titi de Paris as my mother loves the service etc...

So take her to Le Titi de Paris! Make her happy. Besides, one of the chef/co-owners, Susan Maddox, is a NW burb mom herself, and a very nice one, too. Make life easy on yourself!

What do you mean by "different"? Karma in Mundelein is doing Mother's Day brunch. The menu is the usual kind of brunch buffet, but the atmosphere is certainly different from most restaurants.

Reviving this thread - there are a few different ones but none seem particularly recent.

I’m looking for suggestions for Mother’s Day Brunch - exact type of food, price point, and format (buffet vs plated) are all entirely flexible.

But geographically we are looking to stay somewhere between Lincolnwood/Skokie up to maybe Buffalo Grove/Lincolnshire with everything in between being up for grabs.

Any positive past experiences? Maybe with covid there isn’t much to report in the past couple years but even any suggestions of places to maybe check would be good.

Stefani Prime in Lincolnwood has done Mother's Day in the past. Nothing up on their site yet.

Allgauer's does a Sunday brunch - no longer buffet-style, but decent.

Many places that do a special brunch on holidays do so on Easter and on Mother's Day. Saranello's website still shows their Easter brunch, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same thing on Mothers Day.

(I know you're looking for north suburbs, not downtown Chicago, but Prime & Provisions does an excellent holiday brunch on both holidays. I went yesterday for their buffet-style Easter brunch and it was wonderful.)

And, just to mention a ridiculous price point, the Lobby in the Peninsula Hotel downtown does a special holiday brunch for $325/pp. Yes, $325 for brunch.

More than a decade ago the Four Seasons used to do an over-the-top Sunday brunch with unlimited bloody marys/mimosas for a then-whopping $75. Even with inflation that would still be less than half of $325.

Many years ago, my boss from North Carolina stayed at the Penninsula for an extended stay and invited me to brunch twice. The price was over the top ( he paid ) and the food was over the top
