Back when Nice Cream (MIA? RIP?) had its Kickstarter for legal funds, my wife commissioned the world's best ice cream flavor of chocolate milk stout, shortbread and toffee.

Black Dog Gelato is coming to Chicago French Market this summer and, unlike their Ukrainian Village location (which begins summer hours on May 1), will stay open year-round, according to owner and executive chef Jessica Oloroso.

Black Dog Gelato is now offering subscriptions. Each month includes 3 pints of gelato of a selected flavor pack (featured, signature, or dairy-free) plus other benefits. The monthly subscription is $35 plus tax. Three and six month subscriptions are also available. There is a delivery option depending on location.
