Just a quick note on BB.Q Chicken; don't go in expecting BBQ Chicken, cuz that's not what they serve. The "BB.Q" actually stands for "Best of the Best Quality" and has nothing to do with smoked meats.

They serve a pretty good version of Korean Fried Chicken. I've been to their Waukegan location and thought it was good, but not particularly noteworthy. This is not meant to put anyone off. You should check them out and decide for yourself. They already have several locations around the city and suburbs.

Per their Facebook, The Crazy Greek is moving from 5051 W. Oakton in Skokie ( the curious location with no curb presence behind the Chase bank) to 6808 N. Sheridan in Rogers Park. Former spot of a long-time kabob restaurant, I believe.

El Metro Café recently announced on its Facebook page that its last day is May 16. The sisters who owned Gaudi Café opened El Metro Sep. 2014 in the former Lorraine's Diner space at Chicago Avenue and Damen. The 12 years in the announcement refers to the 2009 opening of Gaudi at its original Erie/Ashland location. At its second location near Grand and Racine, Gaudi Café closed in May 2016.

Xi'an Cuisine opened up in the West Loop (Greektown) at the former home of another Chinese place Sizzling Pot King. I believe this is the 2nd location of the Chinatown restaurant with the same name.

According to a delivery site I see, they also serve skewers, hand pulled noodles, milk tea, fruit tea, etc.

The Southport location has been closed for ten years (https://chicago.eater.com/2011/9/28/664 ... tive-today).

Bobby Morelli and 9-year-old daughter Brooklyn gave Chicago’s gourmet hot dog scene a much needed injection of excitement with Bronzeville’s Hot Dog Box and the duo isn’t finished. After around nine months of selling out of a 400-square-foot box in the Boxville marketplace, Morelli now plans to open a larger restaurant with new menu items at 4020 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Portage Park.
