I live near the one on Niles. The donuts are okay, but their pancakes are fantastic.

Have they consulted with Delilah's on Lincoln (or is there any affiliation)? Ignore my question. Didn't see the last line in the post.

    Apparently, not related:

But What If Syndicate isn’t stopping there. The group will debut its newest concept, Delilah’s, in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, Danny Grant confirmed in a brief telephone conversation with What Now Chicago Thursday.

The eatery, which filed a liquor license for 847 N State Street, is not affiliated with Lincoln Park’s Delilah’s, a bar owned and operated by Mike Miller, a What If Syndicate rep confirmed.

It doesn't really say what the place will be, but chances of it being "nice" and/or semi trendy are probably high.

Wheeling donuts are truly fantastic (sorry no pics). My better half brought a few home last week. Fantastic taste and texture. I was told they could use some more business.

So moving from a neighborhood market adjacent to a Green line stop to the Six Corners? I wonder if they realize that this is probably a step down in terms of foot traffic?

It’s a second location = “Morelli still plans to keep operating the original shipping container location with an abbreviated menu of the Bronzeville Bourbon dog, the Prairie Blues Steak dog (cranberry honey mustard, cabbage, collard greens), and a rotating seasonal option.”

Arlington Heights Racetrack has also been sold, to the Bears -- but that will have less impact on my life.

I think it's just that the already-existing or already-planned private equity piece has changed hands. I think you can continue to expect higher prices, along with diminishing quality and service.

Everything's easily a buck or two above overpriced, but it's nice to finally have some options. Oh, and the sushi was "fine" by lunch kiosk standards.

Millennium Park, billed as the Midwest’s top tourist attraction, will be getting several more food and drink options next spring, thanks to a $2.5 million investment from Eleven North Hospitality. The group plans to renovate the 140-seat restaurant formerly known as the Park Grill and add a Mexican cafe opposite the Bean sculpture and a coffee bar operated by Momentum Coffee, a small Black-owned South Side chain.

On the drive in to work this morning I noticed that the signage for Hideaway Chicago at 1909 N. Lincoln has been changed to "Pizza Bunker". Yelp shows Hideaway as permanently closed. A web search didn't result in any information about the new place so I'm not sure if it's just a name change or new ownership.
