I wonder how this may affect the new, but yet opened, location in Highwood.

The previously soon to open Kabob place in Highwood will not be opening. 1 rumor is that they could not hire people to man it. I happened to be walking by last weekend and saw the owner removing equipment and asked him about it. All he said was it was about relationships and he was too old to deal with it all. He is going to retire and ride his Harley. No idea what he meant by relationships.

Damn, that's some heavy shit he offered you there! Highwood could still use a kabob place anyway.

Khmai Cambodian Fine Dining has opened at 2043 W Howard in Chicago. The website doesn't have much to go on. Their Facebook page has more information.

Great news! As I suspected based on the location it's an outgrowth of Mona Bella catering which was a ghost kitchen pickup option I got in 2020. The location was at Pratt/Ashland. Massive portions, but really good food too.

Ooh this looks intriguing!! Looking forward to trying.

And as seems to be the case with most restaurants, the most up to date info is on their IG page.

I guess my initial recollection of 2020 was off. Here is the article from Mike Sula that tipped me off to Mona Bella in March, 2021.
