I didn't do a lot of pickup but was really impressed by the job In On Thai did in pivoting to takeaway. Really impressed with details like keeping the crispy fish separate from the rest of the dish.

Great prompt, A, and likely a useful resource for neighborhood food history in these times. Ours:

    - Freddy's in Cicero
    - Bari for subs, meatballs, and many pantry jars of giard'
    - Big Guys and Carnivore for Tgiving, Christmas, and NYE
    - Big Star / Publican / Avec family meal distribution
    - Katy's Dumplings (both locations)
    - Superdawg for drive-in dogs and shakes
    - Naf Naf for easy ordering veggie bowls
    - La Lagartija, Carbon, Gringo & Blondie for Taco Tuesdays
    - Forno Rosso, Coalfire, and Flapjack Brewery for VPN pies
    - Galit killed it for a few birthday takeout orders
    - back patio of Maya del Sol for socialization en plein air
    - front patio of Fairgrounds and Lea Street Foot for meetings
    - Habrae for bubble tea, croissants, and regional Thai
    - Chiu Quon for cocktail buns and holiday treats
    - the Daly Bagel and Whirlwind for morning routine
    - Mitsuwa Marketplace for fresh packaged noodles and condiments
    - Stan's, Do-Rite, and Dunk (Melrose Park) for morale donuts

We did a ton of cooking together as a family as well. Lucky to be in the Chicagoland food utopia with so many tremendously hard working restaurateurs and suppliers and employment to keep voting with our $.

For sure take out from area restaurants was a bright spot during the pandemic.
    Highlights for us:
    Mott street
MFK (special shout out to the whole Basque cake for a few pandemic birthdays but their food is really terrific all around)
    TAC quick
    Tava
Giant (when they were offering carry out)
    Testaccio
    Langhe
    Nha Hang
    Munno
Cho Sun OK (surprisingly good for take out though we miss grilling at the table)
    Buona Terra
Brown sugar bakery (for celebratory caramel cakes)

I have this visually-appealing map illustrating from where I carried out foodstuffs (and shall continue to occasionally). :D

I attended the soft open of Une Annee/Hubbard's Cave as their TV ran the live announcement of lockdown. They quickly pivoted to takeout and went into our regular rotation. Stefani Prime started running dinner specials for 4 and were an incredible value. We also took advantage of Alinea and Schwa (meals came with lots of instructions, especially Schwa). Otherwise we continued to rely on our usual favorite takeout spots.

I took a look at the menu online and it is shown as item Number 30, Tom Yum Milky Broth. Really love that soup.
