We'd spotted this place in the Glen a while ago and finally tried it out. I think it's likely the same folks that Jazzfood mentioned 12 years ago that's on Division, in the Fried Chicken thread.
They've got a big aquarium smoker visible in the kitchen, and they have live jazz on weekends (but we were there early).
SueF and I split the Feast: 3 pieces fried chicken, three beef ribs, a half dozen fried shrimp, cornbread and two sides (we chose mac'n'cheese and collards).
The fried chicken and shrimp were both very good. Coated with not much more than flour and seasonings, crispy exterior and juicy.
The beef ribs were tasty, good chew off the bone though pre-sauced, but I was hoping for a little more meat on those bones. I'll try the pork next time.
The sides were pretty good, reasonable portions, but the cornbread was pretty inferior, dry and hard.
Compared to other places in The Gotten Town Center, they were pretty sparsely occupied. I hope they can make it. Maybe it was just too early? Except other places had crowds.
