As reward for accompanying SueF on a boring errand in Pilsen, we went out for tacos. Closest high-rated (per Google) place was El Costeño, across from the Damen Pink Line CTA stop.
We had an order of flautas, and quesabirria (which was a special on the lightboard). Both very good -- the flautas were topped with sliced avocado instead of the usual guac, but there was a creamy avocado salsa also. Quesabirria were bigger than most places, making them difficult to pick up and dip, but generous portions. Friendly service, there were only a couple other people around at lunch time, probably low traffic due to threatened migrant round-ups.
Highly recommended
