Travelling to Barcelona at the end of the week and planning to travel. I am looking for recommendations to great places around the city and beyond as I am planning on travelling around the region. Any recommendations are welcome to those who have been there recently.
    Thank you.

Here's a thread about the Basque region. Not particularly current but possibly useful, nonetheless . . .

Was there last week and the culinary highlight for us was Direkte Boqueria, adjacent to the Mercat Boqueria. Eight seats and a 10-course plus three deserts prix fix was sensational! A few seats outdoors, but to get the entire "dinner and a show" experience watching each course prep you want to snag one of the eight seats at the counter.

I was there just as COVID was hitting a few places, before lockdown (one of those threads linked above). Look for places in the Born district: lots of cool, modern stuff there, perhaps a bit less touristy than the Bari Gotic or Las Ramblas.
I'm not sure how comfy I'd be in this plague environment with the wall-to-wall bodies of the tapas at El Xampanyet, but it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.

We had a recent trip to Barcelona and Costa Brava. I wasn't great about food photos this trip (though I may add a few pics when I get organized) but I thought I'd leave a few recs for anyone planing a trip to the area.

    Barcelona highlights:

    Guixot
    https://guixot.cat/
    Carrer Riereta, 8 Barcelona
    +34 93 329 95 53
Fantastic fixed priced lunch menu--15.5 Euros for 3 courses plus a drink
Menu changes weekly based on what's seasonal
We had a delicious meal including duck breast with red berry sauce, grilled shrimp, spring risotto, entrecote.

    7 Portes
    Passeig Isabel II, 14, Barcelona

Definitely touristy but we loved the paella here (and our server, Alberto, was awesome)

    Solomillo
    Mallorca 251, Barcelona

My daughter's birthday was during our trip and she requested a steakhouse meal so we ate here for lunch. The food was excellent. I would probably have skipped this in favor of Catalan food (only because we have great steakhouses here) but we liked this place a lot.

    Brunells
Carrer de la Princesa, 22, Barcelona
    https://www.brunells.barcelona/
Great for coffee and pastries. My daughter really enjoyed the croissant selection (strawberry cheesecake, lemon tart, etc). We enjoyed their excellent coffee and the pressed croissant sandwiches with jamon Iberico.

    Costa Brava highlights

    Si No Fos in Girona
    https://www.sinofos.com/
This was probably our favorite meal of the trip.
Definitely a trendy/edgy vibe with an open kitchen, young chefs and servers in t-shirts, long communal table. Beef dry aging in fridges in the dining room Food was amazing and interesting.
Octopus, pork cheeks, steak tartare, great wine. There was a local winemaker dining near us and they offered us some of his excellent, biodynamic wine. My daughter's burger was incredible.
Highly, highly recommend if you are in Girona (which is a super cool town and great base for exploring Costa Brava).

    Antic Casino, Pals
    Carrer Enginyer Algarra 32, Pals
    http://www.anticcasinorestaurant.com/en/
The restaurant is an old house with lots of rooms and has a cozy, rustic feel.
We loved the 'arros de Pals'--local version of the paella. Their shrimp in oil with garlic were the best we had on the trip.
