We had a long Friday to Tuesday weekend in Orlando, but only one night dining out (late arrival, sis-in-law made dinner, this, wedding, home), but it was a very nice meal at
Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen and Bar in Winter Park.
The Orlando area is running "Magical Dining Month" with reduced-cost 3-course meals during September, $37 at Reel Fish. SueF took advantage of that with Firecracker Shrimp, Steak Frite, and Fudge Brownie. Very nice deal as the main itself would have been over $30. The Firecracker Shrimp had large fried shrimp tossed in what I'm pretty sure is just sriracha mayo, but very tasty, perfectly cooked. The steak came with a tossed salad and frites.
I ordered off their Fish Camp Classics sub-menu, all fried stuff; I got a combo of shrimp and oysters. The shrimp were very tasty, if not as big as the Firecrackers. Oysters were appropriately juicy. I upgraded the side dish to fried okra, also delicious with a creamy horseradish dipping sauce.
The only issue we had was a looooong wait between the appetizer and main courses - the server apologized that the kitchen was backed up. They didn't look that crowded but they were doing a lot of carry-out.
We were sitting outside, so mask compliance was not so much of a concern (the rest of Orlando outside of Disney World was pretty slack about it, I'm going for the deep brain swab later this week, even though I've been jabbed).
Prices good, food tasty, service a little slow but otherwise attentive. I'd go back, maybe try the whole fish.
