    Yes, agreed. The cooked yield is about 50% of the pre-cooked weight. Once you remove some of the larger pieces of fat after cooking -- ours had some some point and some flat -- the net yield was well under 50%. We had zero leftovers, which is good and bad.

    Its a Lodge, had it for longer than I can remember. Twenty buck-a-roos on Amazon.

    HI,

    The heavy plate used to press the sandwich is available at Restaurant Depot. I almost bought one recently, then realized I already had something very close to it already.
