"Sriracha"—a documentary film by Griffin Hammond

This is a link to a kickstarter, though you will be pleased to know there is a documentary in the works.

Even though we've just opened a new bottle, I spotted one at our Mariano's yesterday and snagged. That's enough to get us through any summer shortages.

I didn't notice what the price was, but I was in Mitsuwa in Arlington Heights over the weekend, and there was a "Limit 2" sign.

I can't imagine -- other than a restaurant -- going through those that fast. I'm on the same bottle I've had for years, there's just too many other good spicy condiments to choose from. Even chili crunch is starting to seem so 2021.

I was at H-Mart in Tigard Oregon this morning, and they also had the "Limit 2" sign. I bought a small bottle. Should last me a couple of years.

I visited HMart and Fresh Farms-Touhy on Saturday. HMart had stock of large and small bottles with a limit of one. The usual spot in the Asian sauces aisle at FF was cleaned out but there were a few dozen smaller bottles on an end cap facing the meat counter, no limit notice.

I've seen plenty of Sriracha and Sambal Oelek around over the past few months. No 'limit' signs anywhere I shop. In fact, at H-Mart (Niles), Sriracha appeared to be marked down this week . . . and I saw fairly large displays of it in more than one location in the store.

For the second year in a row, Huy Fong, the maker of the most popular variety of sriracha, is facing production issues, the company said in a statement this month, because of “a shortage of raw material” with “no estimations of when supply will increase.”

I purchased a three bootle of ‘Chile/Garlic’ set off eBay but all I got was part of a mailing label from USPS saying contact USPS Insurance.
    Obviously the shipment got lost-NOT!
Got a refund from eBay and ordered a single bottle from another source which has arrived.
I do have a large Bottle of Sriracha Chile Sauce from previous stockpiling.
In the past I have tried other products but they were not even close to Huy Fong!
I wonder if the supply problem traces back to Huy Fong suing the original supplier of peppers?-Richard
