Jamie deserved every barb Uncle Rodger jabbed him with. Really.

I guffawed, simply guffawed, a whole bunch of times. Seems to me Jamie shouldn't even have *called* it "egg fried rice."

Uncle Rodger deserves our appreciation for taking one for the team!

"No such thing as saucepan hay." "Jamie, you have 25 cookbook, but you can't afford one wok? Uncle Rodger send you on wok for free Jamie. No problem."

I sure hope he sends him a wok.

Found myself laughing out loud more than once watching Uncle Rodger watch Gordon Ramsay make Indonesian style fried rice. Spoiler Alert, Uncle Rodger approves, even gave Gordon a coveted FUIYOHH.

Uncle Rodger, count me a Fan!

Yes! Two woks! Jamie doesn't even have one wok! But what was that thing Gordon was woking on? Looked like an upside down clay pot, but I don't think it was.

Alas, the spelling of "Rodger" is now "Roger." Wish it hadn't changed. My little brother's name is spelled Rodger.

It's called a "tao charcoal burner" and you can buy one for $98. I'm thinking about it. It looks like it would work pretty well. If you could add a blower or a bellows, you'd be all set for wokkery outdoors.

Thanks Geo. His must be one of the "Old Inefficient" ones, as it looks different than the one you linked to.

Dear Sweet Carol Channing's Ghost, is there nothing you 'modern' folk won't try to ~improve~

19 BaGillion people all across Asia, including street vendors, 90-year-old home cooks and culinary inclined Lady Boys use these every day as is.
