When it's in season, and you do the correct checks, you'll have a great chance at getting a good one. We're at the end of the season. I'm definitely gonna go get one for 1.99, but I've already bought 2 from other stores (Tony's, I think,) over the past 2 weeks that have displayed that "end of season" characteristic of being sweet, but a little bit mushy. Flavor was still there, but crispness was not. Jr. is using half of the newest one to make smoothies because the texture isn't great for eating. I'll probably buy one from Jewel today or tomorrow and test. Fingers are crossed, but this is what happens at the end of the season.

Jewel and other grocery stores could do this too, but they choose not to. Maybe their thinking is the same as Costco's: make you wander around and look at stuff you weren't planning on buying. Or provide this information only through their app so that you have to put yet another app on your phone.
On Jewel's website, if you want to know if something is in stock at your local store, you have to un-check the "Include Out of Stock" search filter, which is checked by default. Beyond that, there's no information on where items are located in the store.

Ziegler Honeycrisp and Gala cider $2.99/gal. These are separate coupons so you can buy one of each.

Did this today: $18.74, tax included, for a pumpkin, 2 family size Oreos, 1 family size Chips Ahoys, 2 regular size Oreos, 3 Pillsbury brownie mixes and 1 Pillsbury cake mix (99¢ each coupon.) I didn't buy the milk but apparently there was 50¢ off the 2 family size Oreos anyway, probably because it would be too complicated to program every possible thing defined as milk.tjr wrote:$4 off pumpkin coupon with 2 family size Oreos, $1 off 3 family size Oreos, Ritz or Triscuits, 50¢ off milk with 2 family size Oreos (all one time), 3 for $10 family size Oreos and crackers (must buy multiples of 3).
