I saw Bings at $7.99/lb at Super HMart Nile a few weeks ago. I also saw the same for $10/lb and those bases are easily 3 lbs.

I'm usually at Valli in Evanston once or twice a month. The reduced produce section is usually there, and frequently a good deal for things you'll use up quickly. On occasion I'll see a deal on other things (I recently got cuttlefish for $1.99/lb), but since I rarely visit other groceries, I can't comment on their prices overall.

Valli has Washington red cherries on sale for $2.99 starting today. They are winding down in Michigan. There are probably lots left in Traverse City, but my sister in SW Michigan has the last of her sweet cherries on sale for $3.99 a pound, or ten pounds for $29.99.
