It seems that while we were sleeping, Cyber Monday magically morphed into Cyber Week! Woo-fucking-hoo! At the top of my list is a buncha' unsubscribing.

I once clicked on an unscribe button from a business email. To unscribe, all the fields on the screen were required. They included first and last name, address, phone number, income levels, job, etc. I didn't bother. I just set an email filter to mark the email as read, and delete it permanently. I have my email client set up to not send acknowledgements and not to load anything from links in the email. Wish I remembered what business it was.

Wish I had your computer skills.

I gave some money to American Cancer society, and there is absolutely no way to stop them from bombarding me with emails asking for more money.

At least it's not some idiotic, self-serving merchant. But yes, unfortunately, that's the way NPO's work. The most promising prospects are the ones who already have a history of giving.

Admittedly I took advantage, or was taken advantage of, Battery Junction's Black Friday discount/free shipping sale.

Some people get sweaty when they go below 74-rolls of toilet paper, some when there is less than 5-gallons of cheap vodka in the house. Me, I like batteries on hand for my abundance of flashlights.

    Batteries, count me a Fan!

    I feel seen.

Although I appreciate the idea, I was almost as annoyed with the plethora of Giving Tuesday emails.

What food and drink items did you purchase for 2022 Black Friday/Cyber Monday specials?

    These are our results:
A 120-bottle wine cabinet from Wine Enthusiast.
Our broken-shelved EuroCave wine cooler is full, so we've taken to keeping everyday wines in bags and boxes on the floor. I think this item is a bit bigger than ideal for our planned space, but it was time to get another actual wine storage item and we don't intend to stay in our current condo forever

    Sauces from Fly by Jing

Caviar from Imperia Caviar, to be delivered just before Christmas

Four Nick & Nora and two martini glasses, Riedel, from Bloomingdales

Boy was I (not) shocked when I received the barrage of emails this morning informing me that yesterday's one-day-only offers were being extended. Who knew?!

I tried. Bought several items from them earlier this year and none of them really hit the mark. Their Sichuan chili crisp pales in comparison to LGM and even at 50% off, costs ~4x more.

Grew up with S&H green stamps, but when I went to college in California, switch to Blue Chip Savings Stamps. I think I was a junior before I had enough to get a chafing dish/fondue pot. Long time ago.
