What I should have been doing in my (not really) free time:
    - wrapping gifts
    - getting the guest room ready
    - cleaning the kitchen (especially the 'fridge and floor)
    - making shopping lists / buying groceries for Christmas Eve & Christmas
    - baking that last Christmas cookie the family expects
    - getting a good night's sleep

    What I did instead:

Any other irresponsible cooks out there?

    Hi,

Long ago a woman came to the dessert exchange with a mille crepe or crepe cake. It was enchanting and it was her swan song as she promptly moved away.

No way are you irresponsible, though you found your special way to procrastinate.

I like your approach, because my variant of procrastinating is cleaning the vegetable bins. I am going to borrow from your book. :D

It was wonderful you interrupted your life to help at the Salvation Army dinner. My sister enjoyed your company. I was planning to attend until I learned my Dad had something to do and leaving Mom alone is not ideal. Thanks!

    Amazing-looking crepe cake!

Not stress-baking, but I did do about 80 decorated sugar cookies that I really didn’t have time to do this week for my daughter’s class holiday party. She asked and I couldn’t say no. Ironically, after I had committed to Audrey, a mom from the class above her reached out to see if I would do 100 cookies for the 8th grade holiday party which she would pay me for! Unfortunately could not squeeze that in. My cookies have become known at her school as “Audrey’s mom’s cookies”.

Lucky Audrey who will go to reunions in the future and everyone will be hoping she comes with cookies.

    Terrific legacy, Mom!
