I didn't even realize it was a woman, thanks.

Anthony running home for dinner reminded me of my sister, Mary. Our next door neighbor was in the same grade as Mary. It was supposed my sister and this neighbor would walk home together.

My sister Mary found if you ran home for lunch, you had more time to eat. That brought a quick end to this neighborly arrangement.

I wonder if Mary was inspired by Anthony?

I went briefly to Indian Trail. Lunch break began at 11:45 am and concluded at 1:00 pm to allow kids to go home to eat.

There was one girl who changed her clothes at lunch arriving back in a fresh outfit. I never met anyone before who did anything like that. Never met anyone since, either.

Considering how we tend to look for clues to a long life, I find it interesting that he defied the now-conventional wisdom and drank a Pepsi every morning.

I don't drink coffee, though sometimes my morning intake of caffeine might just come in the form of a pop. I guess I spit in the eye of conventional wisdom.

When I was a kid, my Mom drank several pots of coffee a day. She endlessly had coffee breath, which is probably why I am not keen on coffee. When I do drink it, it is more like a sweet coffee cream.

Now Mom can go days without coffee. I will offer her coffee, because I know how much she likes it.
